FiBaC Inc was formed in 2000 as a company dealing with the manufacture and distribution of Fiber Based Carbon Materials.The company was taken over as a fully owend subsidiary by the CISMI Foundation in 2003. Since then FiBaC has mainly been active in the field of materials science performing chemical modifications. Supercritical solvents used in preparation and modification of materials is a second line of activity. As a side line FiBaC is developing procedures for drying and preparation of waterfilled aercheological materials using supercritical technologies.

Recently FiBaC has entered the field of biology targeting insect control by pheromones and other signal substances. FiBaC is presently involved in the classification of mites and in the registration of diseases spred by theese insects.
